Yes, another Sun Tzu quote, however this quote has proved very helpful in every area of my life.  Unfortunately, I am not the type to be honest unless it is required.  In my eyes, life is a game, and so is war.  If I am to win this game of life, I am going to have to deceive.

Dearest Readers,

Today, I have a bit of a pointless quote in the way’s of philosophy, but one to celebrate the 10th anniversary of wordpress (1 day late).  Wordpress has been a huge part of my life thus far, I’ve never had a real job yet by the age of 9 thanks to wordpress I was making 2,000 dollars a month online, and was not only able to buy the most expensive toys, but if something came up and my family needed money I could pay a loan.  Obviously, this blog is not intended to make money, however regardless WordPress has changed my life in more ways than I could have ever imagined.  It got me interested in code, gave me my love of writing, and I hope that it has another great 10 years ahead of it.  Once again I’d like to apologize for the lack of content, as this blog was not intended as solely a quote of the day blog.

If I ever get a post in that contains actual content, then you’ll find out that I’m a huge sun tzu fan.  I carry around a pocket copy of The Art of War wherever I go, so today I would like to bring a quote from that book.  Today’s quote is part of sun tzu’s persuasion of the king to heed his plan.  This is an interesting quote and since I have not the time, nor do I think my interpretation will be any better than yours.  I leave you with Can you imagine what you would do if you could do all I can?

Welcome to the quote of the day, I hope to have one of these every day.  Sometimes I will analyze the quote, and tell you my interpretation and sometimes I will leave it to you to decide what the quote means.  This quote, written by Eleanor Roosevelt really embodies the true spirit of endeavor.  There are several interpretations behind this quote, my favorite of which was said by Michio Kaku in a  BBC Special on time.  He said that the only way to slowdown our cognition of time is to do something different, or do something ordinary, in a different place.   Others argue this is to build up immunity so when a real moment comes where you have to do something and be calm you can do it.  My personal inclination is that Mrs. Roosevelt meant the latter.  As Theodore, her husband was shot prior to giving a speech in milwaukee and to everyone’s amazement finished his speech.
